How to Build Backlinks to Your Dental Website for SEO

The Definitive Guidebook to Building Backlinks for Dentists

Many dentists have heard of my trademarked Invisalinks Method, which is my style of doing SEO for dentists. The keystone of the Invisalinks Method is building links to dentist’s websites. In my Invisalinks Method course, we discuss the step by step process I use to lift my Google rankings, and help dentists all over the world do the same. In this guidebook, we’ll go over the 3 main principles you must grasp in order to successfully build backlinks to your website (and thus increase your new patient flow through lifted SEO).

Here are the 3 top reasons why another relevant dental website would link to your dental website:

  1. They think your content is useful or interesting.
When your content supports what other bloggers and journalists are trying to say, they tend to link to your website as an informational resource. By providing well-researched information that supports what places such as this article I wrote on Dental Products Report, you share a common goal of conveying important information to the dental community. This is the foundation of all link building: build a link-able asset.
  2. They know, like, and trust you.
Once you’re known for creating useful content that helps move people in a positive way, media influencers take notice. You can speed up the process by getting on the radar of bloggers and journalists in the dental field. The fact is, when people trust your brand and the message behind it, they’re much more likely to share your Facebook posts and link to your website. For instance,  you could earn a link from a dental website with a larger audience, a website which has more backlinks of it’s own, such as this article from Remin Media. You can also earn links from local websites which have a large local readership, and this can also bring you new patients through referral traffic, in addition to boosting your SEO.
  3. You offered them a backlink.
One of the best ways to earn backlinks is to be generous with offering them. As long as your links make sense and support the message you’re trying to convey, Google will reward the people you’re linking to. The owners of these websites might notice you for linking to them, and feel more inclined to link to your website in the future. You can even email the webmaster to tell them about the new link you’ve given them. I’ve found respectable bloggers and journalists are great at seeing backlink building as a win-win for everyone.

PS-

Here is a very advanced Q&A I did with Dr. David Wank of New Jersey. David owns a web development firm (Short Hills Design) which caters to dentists looking for new patients from Google.

David engages me in a very advanced line of questioning regarding some more the more nuanced and esoteric aspects of link building for your dental SEO.

If you’re not advanced when it comes to link building, be sure to check out the first few videos in The Invisalinks Method SEO Course. If you are advanced, you’ll definitely enjoy the fact that David delves into some of the less often considered dangers and pitfalls associated with link building. The interview was completely unscripted and the questions were ad lib, so this was a fun and challenging interview!
